If you are considering the purchase and deployment of a CMMS product, consider using Maintenance Management Solutions for your implementation needs.
The consistent quality of our implementation services is the
cornerstone of the strong relationship that we forge with each of our
clients. Every member of our implementation services staff is
dedicated to your success, because helping your organization maximize
the benefits of your CMMS / EAM system is our overriding goal.
Whether you have chosen Maximo 6®, Maximo 5®,
Maximo 4®, or MP2®
as your solution, it is worthwhile to note that our implementation specialists have in-depth, hands-on
experience and skills with each of those products.
While each implementation project that we conduct is tailored to our clients' needs and to the specifics of their chosen
CMMS, our structured methodology revolves around the following:
Project Planning and Management -
Like all implementation projects, the effective implementation of a CMMS product requires systematic planning together
with active and capable project management. MMSI's in-depth experience, its proven approach to project management, and
its outstanding track record with its clients will help to ensure both the timeliness and success of your CMMS
implementation.
Hardware/Software Installation
- MMSI technicians can provide the services to install required server hardware, operating and database management system
software, and client side software. Services include but are not limited to hands-on installation and testing of each
component and coordinating the efforts of third party delivery and installation
Business Process/Workflow Design - Identifying, designing, and documenting best business practices and workflow processes is a critical component in the
successful deployment of a CMMS/EAM system. Once developed, each workflow process is mapped to a series of system
functions such as work requests, work orders, or purchase orders. The end result is a set of standard operating
procedures (SOPs) that serve as detailed instructions for using the implemented CMMS as well as training guides for
system end-users.
Data Collection and Conversion - MMSI consultants work with every client to determine which assets, spare parts, and PM routines should be included in
their CMMS system, what the best data collection methodology is, how the information will be structured in the CMMS
database, and how it will be entered into the system. If data is to be manually collected and entered, MMSI will develop
customized data collection forms and oversee the data collection process. Should data exist in legacy systems, MMSI's
data specialists possess the knowledge and experience to map and convert that data in the shortest amount of time using
customized legacy data extraction and upload tools.
Integration - Using a variety of tools, MMSI technicians have developed interfaces between CMMS products and leading financial
packages (e.g., SAP, PeopleSoft), property management software (e.g., CTI, JD Edwards), time keeping systems, project
planning and control systems, and more. This integration has proven to
foster better intra-company communications, provide
faster and more accurate financial information, and lower total maintenance management costs.
System Configuration - Based on the results of business process and workflow design, MMSI will configure the CMMS product to ensure that it
meets the organization's needs. Configuration activities include but are not limited to screen format changes, setting
up validation lists, modifying data field attributes, and setting system use and security options.
Training - MMSI believes that education and training are essential elements of any successful CMMS installation. In addition to the
standard training offered for each component of your chosen CMMS, we provide one-on-one support as you begin your
deployment, teaching your staff how to use their new CMMS on the job. We also offer customized training in system
administration, report design, and in system integration techniques.
Custom Report Development - MMSI works closely with its clients during implementation to determine their reporting needs. While almost every CMMS
provides a library of standard reports, special reporting needs require that custom reports be developed or that standard
reports be modified. Using tools like MS-Access, Crystal Reports,
Actuate, and InfoMaker, MMSI can create a report for any need.
